We started working with Centre City a couple of months ago. The work has been slowly trickling through, with more to come over the year.

I met with Ryan and we talked about his vision for the centre. He doesn’t want it to just be a mall in the classic sense. He wants to bring it to life.

That shifted our focus away from the building itself and towards the people already there. The retailers, the workers, the people.

Centre City is right by the beach. The idea is to capture that side of Taranaki and bring it into the work, without shouting about it.
